On November 16, the 5th National Humanities and Social Sciences Evaluation Forum and Journal Evaluation Summit were hosted in Beijing by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Evaluation Institute of China Academy of Social Science. The summit released theChina Humanities and Social Science Journal AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report (2018). The report created different journal evaluation index systems based on the characteristics of disciplines and journals. It evaluated a total number of 1,291 humanity and social science journals (2012 and before), 164 new journals (2013-2017) and 68 English journals.It had a total number of 83 humanity and social science journals including one top journal, two authoritative journals, 46 core journals and 34 extended journals. HUASWuling Academic Journal was selected as an extended journal for the first time. It was one of the three types of journals from Hunan Province.
AMI evaluation on Chinese humanity and social science journals can be divided into three categories and multiple subjects. The evaluation index system consists of three first-level indicators (attraction, management and influence) and ten second-level indicators (prizes, peer review, academic misconduct, editor team, author team, information technology construction, academic influence, international influence, etc.) and 24 three-level indicators.Wuling Academic Journal was selected into the extended edition of the core journal of the Chinese Academy of Social Science. It was another major progress afterWulin Academic Journal was selected into theRCCSE China Core Academic Journal of Wuhan University in 2015. It is a big achievement for the team and it will encourage people to work harder to makeWuling Academic Journal one the most significant journals that can be ranked in both Peking University Core Journal and Nanjing University Core Journal.
